CHAIRMAN'S REPORT AND URGENT ITEMS

Minutes:

The Chair noted at the end of the meeting that this would be the final Committee meeting before the elections on 2 May.  He thanked all Committee members for their contributions to the work of the Community Services Committee; particularly those who would be standing down.  He wished to record in particular the following achievements of the Committee:

 

·         The Transfer of the Batford Springs Nature Reserve Centre from the District Council to the Town Council and the completion of its refurbishment for ongoing use by the Batford Springs Volunteers;

·         Maintenance of the Common;

·         The infilling of the Air Raid Shelters;

·         The drilling of the boreholes at Batford Springs.
