The Committee RESOLVED to:

 

(i)           Note and approve the Forward Planner attached at Appendix A with the addition of the items (a) Farmers’ Market Refresh, (b) Open Spaces Management Plans and (c) Water Refill Stations to the Forward Planner for the meeting in November and the removal of the Sensory Garden item from the November meeting.

 

(ii)          Note the Resolution Tracker attached at Appendix B and approve the removal of those resolutions marked completed.

(i)           Approve the amended future approach for managing memorial benches as outlined within the report at 3.3 and 3.4 and approve the updated policy at Appendix A.

(ii)          Agree the proposed approach to dealing with the existing waiting list as outlined at paragraph 3.7.

(i)           Approve the amendments highlighted in green following the public consultation (Appendix B) and approve the revised timescales against the outlined actions tabled within paragraph 3.4.

 

(ii)          Remove the reference to ‘cricket’ in the Byelaws section concerning Ball Games (Part 4, 17).

(i)           Approve the updated Tree Policy.

(ii)          Agree that any additional green spaces that in the future may be devolved to Harpenden Town Council should be placed in Zone Two of the Policy with the exception that:

(iii)        Rothamsted Park be placed into Zone One of the Policy.

(i)           Keep a watching brief on the trees impacted by Sooty Bark Disease;

(ii)          Remove those trees situated by roadsides likely to present the highest risks; and

(iii)        Engage with the residents whose trees are also affected.

(ii)          The Town Clerk explore signage improvements and share information on usage;

(iii)        The Town Clerk arrange for a feature on the car park to be placed in the next edition of Forum magazine;

(iv)        A further report be brought back to the November meeting of the Committee.
